Privacy and account removal
This guide explains the available controls and how to ask for help with your data. Requests are not executed automatically: opening this page or sending a message does not delete an account.
What other people can see
Your name, account type, location and supplied services, price and currency may be public. A helper profile may show a short description, experience, service areas and availability for new enquiries. Open listings show the title, description, location, category, stated budget and public information about the homeowner.
Visitors who are not signed in cannot access the dedicated profile phone field. Signed-in users can access that number. Signing in does not verify a person’s identity or reliability. Your account email and password are not public profile fields.
Contact details or an exact address you enter in a public name, description or listing can also become public. Do not enter passwords, sign-in codes, identity documents or unnecessary information about other people there.
Editing, pausing and closing
You can change your details in Edit profile. Helpers can pause new enquiries; this changes how availability and contact are shown in search, but does not delete the profile or saved phone number. To remove the number, clear that field and save the profile. If you are accepting new enquiries, change your availability first. Homeowners must close their open listings before removing their number.
If a job is no longer needed, open it from My dashboard and choose Close job. It will no longer appear among open jobs. Closing a listing does not delete your account or confirm that the work was completed.
How to request removal
Open a privacy request or write to support@helper.rs. State that you want your account removed. If you want a reply through the form, enable the email reply option and enter the address associated with your account. When writing an email, use that address if you still have access to it.
Support checks that the request comes from the account owner before removal. Entering an email in the form does not prove ownership. If you no longer have access to the account address, explain the problem; do not send your password, sign-in code or a copy of an identity document.
If the form confirms receipt, the request has been stored; it does not mean it has been reviewed or the account removed. Opening an email draft sends nothing; you must send it from your email application. You can use email if the form is unavailable.
What removal covers
After ownership has been verified and removal carried out, the authentication account, profile and that account’s listings are removed from the active application. That account can no longer sign in again or refresh its session. Support confirms what was done; sending a request alone is not confirmation of removal.
Previous support messages, security records and backups are separate from the active account and are not automatically deleted with the profile. Mention in your request if you also want those data reviewed or erased. Support should explain the scope, any remaining data and why they are retained. We cannot remove copies that other people previously saved outside the platform.
Anonymous usage statistics
We count anonymous usage statistics for Helper. They are on by default and there is no consent prompt. At the bottom of the page, the line “Anonymous statistics: on · Turn off” switches them off or back on; the choice applies to helper.rs and app.helper.rs. While statistics are on, they write no cookie, localStorage or sessionStorage entry to your device. If you turn them off, your browser stores only a cookie named helper_measurement with the value v1.no, for up to 180 days, so that the choice is respected; turning statistics back on deletes that cookie. We also delete the earlier helper_measurement_source cookie when the page loads.
Nothing is counted once you turn statistics off, or when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal; the line then reads “off (browser setting)” and has no switch. If your browser cannot save your choice, the line says so, and statistics are off only while the page stays open. To keep them off, allow site data for helper.rs or turn on “Do Not Track” in your browser.
Helper separately counts daily aggregate events such as opening a page, choosing signup, successfully publishing a listing or clicking a contact link. Those counters do not store account, listing or individual journey identifiers, names, phones, emails, form contents or full URLs, and they do not record where you came from. Reports cover the last 90 days; older counters are removed on a new write or report read and may remain longer without that activity.
For aggregate visit statistics on selected pages of helper.rs, we use Vercel Web Analytics, with Vercel acting as our processor. Vercel receives a page view with a generalized path: dynamic identifiers are replaced by a route template. We do not send query parameters, URL fragments, account, profile or listing identifiers, contact details or form contents in the analytics payload. We do not use custom Vercel events. Sign-in and signup, account recovery, contact, support and demo pages, as well as unknown paths, are excluded from this measurement.
Vercel processes the time of the page view and technical request data, including browser, operating system, device type and approximate location derived from the request. It uses a request-derived hash for anonymous visit statistics that is discarded after 24 hours, without a persistent cookie for tracking across different websites.
The current Vercel dashboard reporting window is 30 days; this is not a guaranteed deletion deadline at that provider. Visits by the owner and test visits may be included, so the total is not a count of verified users. Counting starts when this feature is switched on; earlier visits are not added retrospectively.
This line controls both the Helper counters and Vercel Web Analytics. Necessary sign-in cookies and language preferences serve a different purpose. Browser Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track settings stop the Helper counters and Vercel Web Analytics.
Other requests about your data
Use the same channel to request access, correction, erasure or restriction of processing, object to processing or ask about data portability. Explain your request and the information concerned without including unnecessary data about others.
Under Serbia’s Personal Data Protection Law, information about action taken on a request is provided without delay and within 30 days. Complex cases may require up to 60 additional days, with notice during the first 30 days. This does not promise that every copy is erased within 30 days. You can also contact the Commissioner.
